Lords Taverners Cricket Bag of Equipment
The Lords Taverners have donated to us a Colts (Under 13's) cricket bag full of equipment. Included are 3 bats, 3 pairs of batting pads, 3 pairs of batting gloves, 1 pair of wicket keeping pads, 1 pair of wicket keeping gloves and inners, 3 junior cricket balls, 1 set of stumps (youths) and 3 helmets.
Guisborough Cricket Club would like to thank The Lords Taverners for their generosity in providing this equipment to us.
Under 15's Cup Competition
The Greaves Cup Competition for Under 15's was split into 2 league groups . We were in Group B and came runners-up beating Stokesley, Maltby and Gt Ayton but losing to Normanby Hall & Saltburn.
As runners-up we played the winners of Group A, Marton in the semi-final away on a gloomy evening. Marton set a total of 103-4 but this was a marvellous fielding effort by the Guisborough team, their best of the season. We won the game with 3 balls to spare .
Although we did not go on to win the trophy at Middlesbrough , the Guisborough lads (including a number of Under13's who had to help out) who played at Marton should be proud of their achievement against a good team.
Well done in reaching the final and coming 3rd in the league !
